This project is the second in a series of three websites projects that we developed for the The Nature Conservancy’s marine team. Oceanwealth.org serves as a project communication hub for the Mapping Ocean Wealth team and as a doorway to a powerful online mapping tool that is currently in development. This tool will enable stakeholders around the world to quantify and map ocean ecosystems and services and then help model the potential impacts that various ocean uses will have.
Our task was to determine the needs of the site’s potential users, confirm the content strategy, map the site architecture, edit and write copy and then design and develop this new website while also ensuring we maintained a brand connection back to coastalresilience.org and nature.org. The site debuted in early 2015 and is now actively being updated and used by The Nature Conservancy staff and project team members worldwide to build engagement with this powerful project.
