Tomorrow Partners, a design agency, was my client for this project. Cisco wanted a compelling way to tell their corporate social responsibility story to all of their stakeholders and, importantly, to tell it in such a way that would compel others to engage in social good. The Client had a clear understanding of the driving force behind their CSR program success . The technology network and the people network of Cisco are critical to maximizing the social impact of the programs in which they engage.
Through interviews with key stakeholders, a media audit and in-depth immersion in Cisco’s corporate social responsibility communications, it became apparent that the “how” of Cisco was the crux of its CSR story. Cisco’s decentralized business strategy ideation process where it is simply not ok to not share what you know, coupled with its networking products leadership position have made it the company that it is today. This expertise and way of working translated to a storyline that showcases Cisco’s collaborative projects in countries all around the world that depend on the involvement of governments, NGOs and individuals to bring about sustainable, positive change.
The powerpoint presentation that culminates in the “What Do You Know?” call to action, encourages engagement of stakeholders in Cisco’s CSR programs and social responsibility at large.
